Birgit Starmanns is a Senior Director in the Customer Value Network at SAP America in Palo Alto, CA,
where she is focused on driving the creation of a customer community for Financials. Since joining
SAP in 1999, she has held various positions, including Vice President of CRM Product Management
for the Partner Channel Management capabilities in SAP CRM, and Director of Product Management
for SAP CRM E-Commerce.
Prior to joining SAP, she was a manager and senior-level management consultant for nine years at
consulting organizations including Price Waterhouse, redesigning business processes and
implementing SAP R/3 and SAP R/2 for numerous Fortune 500 as well as SMB companies. Birgit
holds Bachelor of Arts and Master of Business Administration degrees from the College of William
and Mary in Williamsburg, VA.
Birgit has published over a dozen articles, and contributed to half a dozen books, on both CRM and
ERP topics. She is also a highly rated speaker at SAP and industry conferences. In her roles at SAP,
she has managed virtual teams across various global locations, cultures, and organizational
entities.

Tara Prakriya is an Architect for Microsoftʼs Unlimited Potential Division. Tara started at Microsoft
working on the MSN Platform in 1997. during her tenure there she oversaw early adoption of
the .NET Framework as the Product Unit Manager of the content management platform. She
was also a Program Manager for the ad system and the content and user data warehouse.
Joining Windows in 2002, she was the Product Unit Manager for Mobile PCs in Vista and then
the Product Unit Manager for Tablet PC in Vista. Most recently she has been incubating projects
in emerging markets that leverage pen, touch, and ink. Prior to joining Microsoft she worked ta
Merck & Coʼs US Human Health Division IT focusing on financial data warehousing.

Dr. Perlman is known for her contributions to bridging (spanning tree algorithm) and routing (link
state distribution) as well as security (sabotage-proof networks).
She is the author of the textbook Interconnections: Bridges and Routers, and co-author of Network
Security: Private Communication in a Public World, two of the top 10 Networking reference books,
according to Network Magazine.
Dr. Perlman is one of the networking industry's 25 most influential people, according to Data
Communications Magazine. She has about 50 issued patents in the fields of routing and security.
She has a PhD in computer science, degrees in mathematics from MIT, and an honorary doctorate
from the Royal Institute of Technology in Sweden.
Radia Perlman's work has had a profound impact on the field of networking. She was recently
featured in the 25th anniversary edition of Data Communications magazine as one of the 25 people
whose work has most influenced the industry. She is the creator of the spanning tree algorithm
upon which bridges (switches) are based, and the algorithms that allow robust and efficient link
state routing, upon which all modern link state routing protocols (such as IS-IS, OSPF, and PNNI)
are based. Radia designed IS-IS, Simple Multicast, and sabotage-proof routing. She is also
co-author of Network Security: Private Communication in a Public World. Both of her books were
listed in the top 10 most useful networking reference books in the March, 1988 issue of Network
Magazine. She is currently a Distinguished Engineer at Sun Microsystems, Inc. She holds about 50
patents and a Ph.D. from M.I.T.

Kim Perdikou joined Juniper Networks in August 2000 and serves as Executive Vice President
of the Infrastructure Products Group (IPG). She is responsible for driving IPG's strategy,
innovation, and product development and also serves as general manager of the Service
Provider Business Team, a cross-functional unit comprised of product development, marketing,
sales, support, and business operations. This unit is tasked with the development of the
business strategy and integrated plans to drive all elements of success for the service
provider market segment. Prior to this role, Perdikou served as Juniper's CIO for five years,
driving the company's global information systems strategy. Prior to joining Juniper Networks,
Perdikou was CIO at Women.com, where she built the IT infrastructure and sales operations
function. Perdikou was also Vice President of Global Networks at Reader's Digest for six years
and held leadership positions at both Knight Ridder and Dun & Bradstreet. She holds a
bachelor's degree in Computing Science and Operational Research from the University of
Paisley in Scotland, and two master's degrees: one in Education from Jordanhill College in
Glasgow, Scotland, and a second in Information Systems from Pace University in New York.
