Dr. Telle Whitney is President and CEO of ABI. She held senior technical management positions with Malleable Technologies and Actel
Corporation. She served as ACM Secretary/Treasurer in 2003-2004, and is currently co-chair of the ACM Distinguished member committee.
She was a member of the National Science Foundation Committee for Equal Opportunity in Science and Engineering and co-founded NCWIT.
Dr. Whitney has a Ph.D. from Caltech, and bachelor’s degree from University of Utah in computer science.

Hind Roubos is the Director of Global Application Support for Oracle Corporation. As a seasoned global leader for more than 15 years, Ms.
Roubos currently leads support centers for Oracle in 10 countries on 5 continents supporting over 4,500 customers in 9 languages. She has
been instrumental in developing and starting up Oracle’s customer support presence in several emerging markets including, India, Egypt,
Manila and Chile.

Birgit Starmanns

Birgit Starmanns is a Senior Director in the Customer Value Network at SAP America in Palo Alto, CA, where she is focused on driving the
creation of a customer community for Financials. Since joining SAP in 1999, she has held various positions, including Vice President of CRM
Product Management for the Partner Channel Management capabilities in SAP CRM, and Director of Product Management for SAP CRM
E-Commerce.
Prior to joining SAP, she was a manager and senior-level management consultant for nine years at consulting organizations including Price
Waterhouse, redesigning business processes and implementing SAP R/3 and SAP R/2 for numerous Fortune 500 as well as SMB
companies. Birgit holds Bachelor of Arts and Master of Business Administration degrees from the College of William and Mary in
Williamsburg, VA.
Birgit has published over a dozen articles, and contributed to half a dozen books, on both CRM and ERP topics. She is also a highly rated
speaker at SAP and industry conferences. In her roles at SAP, she has managed virtual teams across various global locations, cultures, and
organizational entities.

Van brings over 16 years of management experience in business, technology, and higher education. Van was formerly Vice President of
Knowledge Universe and held management roles at Digital Island, Pacific Bell, and the United States Navy. She currently serves on the board
of the Campaign for College Opportunity and was a former board member of the San Mateo County Biotech Blue Ribbon Task Force,
Rebuilding Together Peninsula, Coro Northern California, and School-Force Public Schools Foundation. She chaired the San Mateo County
Biotech Workforce Project, where she worked with business leaders, educational experts, policy experts, labor representatives and elected
officials to align the county’s education institutions with the county’s economic development strategies. Van also taught as an adjunct faculty
member at De Anza College.
Van received her bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University, her MBA and a master’s degree in Education Policy from Stanford University,
and was selected as one of fourteen women worldwide to participate in the International Women’s Forum (IWF) Executive Training Program at
Harvard University in 2000.
Laura Rangel (Co-Founder) created a product line that empowers kids to become globally aware and participate in helping other children
around the world. Laura raised over $2 million in working capital within the first round of funding, launching Karito Kids® World Collection in
July 2007. This line has won multiple awards including #1 Toy of the Year by Family Fun (Disney Publishing) and premiered on Oprah’s ‘O’
List as “must-haves.”
Previously, Laura spent 15+ years in management, sales and marketing. Laura was Senior VP of Sales and Marketing at Catalina Marketing
Corporation, where she changed the standard business model in the company’s consumer products division and as a result earned Catalina
$26 million immediately, eventually resulting in a more than $200 million revenue contribution. Her successful career led to the skills that were
invaluable to heading up this new venture; developing a company that would use her business experience to build a lasting force for positive
change.
Laura received her undergraduate and a post graduate degree (Fast TRAC-Entrepreneur’s Group program) from USC.



As president, platform, alliances, and services at salesforce.com, Polly Sumner oversees the technology and marketing for the company’s
Force.com platform, alliances with global independent software vendors and service partners, and salesforce.com’s professional services
organization. Sumner’s move to salesforce.com in 2008 followed a 20-year career in executive management in the technology industry. Most
recently, Sumner was president of global services at Telecordia. Sumner was president and CEO of Alphablox, where she grew the
company from $5 million to $25 million in two years.
Sumner also held several different positions at Oracle from 1987 to 1999, including vice president and senior vice president roles in sales
and alliances. Earlier in her 30-year technology career, Sumner worked at McDonnell Douglas and IBM.
Sumner holds a Bachelor of Arts in History and Political Science from the Northern Arizona University and a Master of Science from the
American Graduate School of International Management.
