Honorees from Deloitte & Touche, Oracle and Delphon Industries Leading Bold Initiatives to Advance Women
SAN CARLOS, Calif., Feb 20, 2008 – Invent Your Future Enterprises, a professional development company that specializes in the retention, development and acceleration of women leaders, today announced the inductees for its 2008 Diamond Leadership Awards, a program that recognizes visionaries who are fostering new approaches for attracting, developing and retaining talent in the workplace. Their achievements will be honored during an award ceremony and panel hosted by CBS5’s Sydnie Kohara during the 2nd annual Invent Your Future Conference for Women February 26 – 27th.
The ceremony features a keynote presentation from Dr. Frank Greene, architect of the groundbreaking VRE (Vision-Relationships-Execution) Leadership Model. Invent Your Future Co-Founders Ruth Stergiou and Denise Brosseau will describe each winner’s visionary approach for applying VRE principles to create a culture that engages others through learning, mentorship and assessment.
The 2008 Invent Your Future Diamond Leadership Award inductees are:
• Jeanne Beacham, President and CEO, Delphon Industries – Leading a bold strategy of acquisitions and organic growth, Jeanne Beacham has grown Delphon Industries LLC into a global materials manufacturing company that is a leading provider of device packaging materials and services to the semiconductor and medical device industries. Ms. Beacham is Past President of the Silicon Valley Chapter of NAWBO (National Association of Women Business Owners), a founding member of SWAN (Semiconductor Women’s Alliance Network), an Advisory Board member for the McCormick School of Engineering at Northwestern University and was appointed to the Joint Advisory Board of the Kellogg School of Management’s Master of Management and Manufacturing Program. • Cathy Benko, Chief Talent Officer, Deloitte & Touche – Ms. Benko drives the Deloitte U.S. Firms’ strategy to attract, develop and advance a highly skilled and increasingly diverse workforce. She is also leading a pioneering approach to employee engagement and career/life integration called Mass Career Customization, a signature initiative of the Deloitte U.S. Firms’ Talent agenda. She recently coauthored Mass Career Customization: Aligning the Workplace with Today’s Nontraditional Workforce and is the author of the Women’s Initiative Blog. Ms. Benko earned her master of business administration degree from Harvard Business School and a bachelor of science degree from Ramapo College. • Titina Ott, Vice President of Organizational Effectiveness, Oracle Corporation – Titina Ott leads the global strategy to improve employee engagement and strengthen alignment of talent to the business strategy. A passionate advocate for mentorship, Ms. Ott co-founded and is the Managing Director for Oracle Women’s Leadership (OWL), introducing an innovative approach for cultivating and retaining female talent at Oracle. She previously oversaw worldwide operations for Oracle University, where she was responsible for supporting over 600,000 students and 450,000 online learning subscribers in over 72 countries. As part of Oracle's globalization efforts, Ms. Ott led a transformational initiative across 65 countries. Ms. Ott earned her B.S. and M.B.A. from Case Western Reserve University.
